Description

You will join SpaceX's Construction Projects Team to design, build, and activate infrastructure supporting the company's mission of enabling human life on Mars. Collaborate across disciplines to deliver large capital projects, from engineering through commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology
• 3+ years professional experience in design or build of commercial or industrial power systems
• Experience with electrical and power distribution systems (>600Vac)
• Working knowledge of transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, building lighting, and facility grounding
• Experience with critical power infrastructure including UPS, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches

Responsibilities

• Perform power-specific engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning for critical company projects
• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors through close-out
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real-time
• Coordinate with electrical utility provider for reliable power service to site infrastructure
