Description

You will lead the Bastrop Development Operations team of technicians and automation specialists, overseeing the fabrication of engineering R&D and factory build-outs for Starlink programs including high-volume user terminal assembly, PCB manufacturing, and silicon packaging. Your team will collaborate closely with engineering leaders to deploy factory equipment and tooling, ensuring the output of Starlink products distributed worldwide.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of professional experience in machining, maintenance, or production/manufacturing; or 5+ years without degree
• 2+ years managing a team or leading projects
• Comprehensive knowledge of conventional machining, CNC programming, and quality inspection procedures
• Experience with welding, fabrication processes, and precision mechanical assembly
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a group of technicians and specialists for fabrication, integration, and deployment of Starlink factory equipment and tooling
• Collaborate with automation teams to achieve factory infrastructure deployment targets
• Manage tooling, testing equipment, and parts inventory to support engineering and product development projects
• Provide mentorship and technical support to technicians on design decisions, project strategies, and problem resolution
• Ensure team training, safety, and continuous improvement through auditing
