Description

You will develop an embedded firmware platform and Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) using Rust and the Pigweed architecture, working as one of the first engineers on a new team to shape key architectural decisions. This role involves integrating the Rust toolchain into CI/CD pipelines and building safety-certified embedded software for future vehicles.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience working on embedded devices
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Strong background in embedded software development using C/C++ and assembly languages
• Hands-on experience with RTOS, Linux, and/or ARM systems
• Debugging skills in real world environments

Responsibilities

• Build a modern, safety-certified Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) and embedded platform
• Work with Pigweed developers on pw_kernel to complete it and bring up on internal hardware platforms
• Integrate the Rust toolchain into CI/CD pipeline
• Architect and develop highly reliable embedded software
