Description

As a Staff Solutions Engineer at Block, you will lead complex integrations for Afterpay, Cash App Pay, and Clearpay. You'll partner with sales and product teams to design technical solutions, build proofs-of-concept, and guide enterprise merchants and global partners through API implementations.

Requirements

• 7+ years in technical customer-facing roles (partner engineering, solutions architecture, sales engineering) with enterprise merchants or global partners
• Deep hands-on technical expertise with APIs, debugging integrations, and guiding developers
• Professional experience with full-stack development and proficiency in at least one programming language
• Experience leading technical projects end-to-end in globally distributed, multicultural teams
• Willingness to travel for onsite client meetings (10-20%)

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales Account Management to support sellers integrating with the platform and co-sell Cash App Afterpay's Developer Platform
• Design and deliver technical solutions including proof-of-concepts, custom reports, and sample integrations
• Be a trusted technical advisor translating business requirements into scalable integration approaches
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to surface partner feedback and influence roadmap
• Create compelling demos, presentations, and technical deep dives for executives and engineering
