Description

You will design and operate CarGurus' core AWS-based cloud infrastructure, building self-service platforms that enable product engineers to ship fast and safely. You'll drive automation, cloud governance, and edge networking, while mentoring teammates and participating in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Deep experience operating production workloads in public cloud (AWS preferred)
• Extensive background with IaC and CI/CD (Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, GitHub Actions)
• Strong Linux/Unix experience and proficiency in Python, Ruby, Go or similar
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, Helm) and networking (IP routing, DNS, load balancing, security)
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production infrastructure on AWS (S3, EC2, EKS, Route53, IAM)
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Chef, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Concourse)
• Implement cloud governance, tagging, and reporting standards
• Manage networking, edge components (Fastly CDN, HAProxy, Datadome), and DNS (Route53)
• Participate in incident response and on-call rotation
