Description
You will own the arm autonomy stack, architecting algorithms for reach, grasp, and manipulation with precision and compliance. You'll bridge high-level planning and low-level control to enable safe, intelligent interaction with the world.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or M.S. with 4+ years industry experience
- Deep understanding of rigid body kinematics, dynamics, 3D geometry, linear algebra, Lie theory
- Expertise in modern C++ (C++17/20) with Eigen, KDL, or Pinocchio
- Experience with motion planning libraries (OMPL, MoveIt, TrajOpt) and control theory (PID, Impedance Control, MPC)
- 5 days/week in-office collaboration
Responsibilities
- Architect advanced motion planning and trajectory generation for high-DOF arm in dynamic environments
- Develop whole-body control coordinating mobile base and manipulator for stability during heavy lifting
- Design and tune impedance/admittance controllers for safe physical interaction
- Build teleoperation mathematical engine translating human inputs into feasible robot motions
- Implement control mapping and assistance layers for intuitive remote manipulation
