Description

You will lead and run Lightmatter's contracting function, serving as a deal architect to negotiate complex technology and IP transactions that enable next-generation light-based server connectivity. You'll partner with engineering, supply chain, product, and sales leadership to drive commercial frameworks from start to finish.

Requirements

• 10+ years legal practice with significant experience drafting complex commercial agreements
• Demonstrated mastery of technology and IP transactions in semiconductor/hardware
• J.D. from accredited law school and bar admission in good standing
• Strong business acumen to translate legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders
• In-house experience in semiconductor, hardware, or deep-tech industries preferred

Responsibilities

• Drive full lifecycle of commercial transactions from structuring to post-closing management
• Draft and negotiate purchase, supply, services, and collaboration agreements for hardware/software solutions
• Structure and negotiate IP agreements including licensing and joint development
• Advise engineering, supply chain, product, and sales leadership on legal risks and business solutions
• Create and maintain contract playbooks, templates, and negotiation processes to scale legal operations
