Assembly Technician - Nondestructive Testing

Description
You will perform critical penetrant and radiography inspections on flight hardware, directly ensuring safety and integrity of Stoke Space's reusable launch vehicle. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to schedule inspections, interpret results, and contribute to continuous improvement of NDT procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Level II NDT certification in Penetrant (PT) and Radiography (RT/CR/DR) per ASNT SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or DOD guidance (or experienced Level I ready to test out)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria
- Understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g., ASTM E1417, AWS D17.1)
- Strong communication skills and commitment to quality
Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment for penetrant and radiography inspections on flight-critical hardware
- Interpret, evaluate, and disposition inspection results against engineering drawings and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and welding teams to schedule inspections and communicate findings
- Assist in developing, refining, and validating NDT procedures for new products and complex geometries
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Level I technicians and support team development
