Description

You will own the thermal design of spacecraft and launch vehicles, from initial analysis to validation with flight data, while automating workflows and improving performance to help create a fully reusable transportation system for missions to Earth orbit, the Moon, and Mars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ years of experience with engineering simulation software such as MATLAB (student project or internship qualifies)
• Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR compliance)

Responsibilities

• Own thermal design of spacecraft, launch vehicles, and hardware from initial analysis through validation with ground and flight data
• Automate analysis workflows to reduce per-mission engineering effort
• Pursue performance and robustness improvements for vehicle and hardware designs
• Seek operational simplicity and reduce burden on other groups
• Produce quality documentation of work and review peer work
