💼 About This Role

You'll own the developer platform roadmap for Benchling's APIs, SDKs, and tooling, shaping how scientists build agentic R&D workflows. Your work will directly unlock AI-driven biotech breakthroughs by anticipating what cutting-edge teams need to build next. This role combines platform strategy with deep developer empathy.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own end-to-end roadmap for REST APIs, SDKs, MCPs, and developer tools
• Define new primitives for agentic R&D workflows built on Benchling
• Work cross-functionally to build scalable platform foundation for partners
• Own developer experience end-to-end, closing gaps in docs, APIs, and support

📋 Requirements

• 3-5 years of product management experience with API or developer platform products
• Technical fluency to read code, review API specs, and engage engineers
• Developer empathy and obsession with developer experience
• Familiarity with modern developer stack including APIs, SDKs, and documentation

✨ Nice to Have

• Familiarity with life sciences or enterprise SaaS domain
• Experience building developer communities or managing developer relations
• Prior experience at a company with a platform business model
