💼 About This Role

You'll define the electrical architecture for aircraft autonomy systems and integrate COTS/MOTS subsystems. This role is key to advancing uncrewed flight technology at a venture-backed aerospace startup. You'll own significant aspects of a new product from design through certification.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Define electrical architecture for autonomy system
  • Integrate and verify COTS/MOTS electronic subsystems
  • Guide lab and aircraft installation technicians
  • Prepare electrical designs, test plans, and certification documents

📋 Requirements

  • BS in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of aviation/aerospace electrical systems integration experience
  • Experience with ARINC 429, RS-232/422/485 protocols
  • Ability to create and interpret system schematics and wiring diagrams

✨ Nice to Have

  • Experience with aircraft avionics, communications, and power distribution
  • Knowledge of DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, MIL-STD-810
  • Hands-on electromechanical skills (soldering, wiring, crimping)
