💼 About This Role
You'll define the electrical architecture for aircraft autonomy systems and integrate COTS/MOTS subsystems. This role is key to advancing uncrewed flight technology at a venture-backed aerospace startup. You'll own significant aspects of a new product from design through certification.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Define electrical architecture for autonomy system
- Integrate and verify COTS/MOTS electronic subsystems
- Guide lab and aircraft installation technicians
- Prepare electrical designs, test plans, and certification documents
📋 Requirements
- BS in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of aviation/aerospace electrical systems integration experience
- Experience with ARINC 429, RS-232/422/485 protocols
- Ability to create and interpret system schematics and wiring diagrams
✨ Nice to Have
- Experience with aircraft avionics, communications, and power distribution
- Knowledge of DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, MIL-STD-810
- Hands-on electromechanical skills (soldering, wiring, crimping)
