You'll lead LLM fine-tuning and optimization for Airbnb's customer support AI products like AI Assistant and autonomous agents. Your work will directly impact millions of hosts and guests through smarter, scalable service experiences. This role offers the chance to shape Airbnb's ML infrastructure strategy.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Fine-tune and optimize large language models for diverse use cases
• Create multi-year tech roadmap for AI foundation models
• Evaluate and select upcoming large foundational models
• Productionize LLM pipelines for batch and real-time inference
• Drive key AI architectural decisions and ML platform strategy

📋 Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, ML, or related field
• 10+ years of experience developing ML models at scale
• Python and PyTorch expertise
• Proven record in LLM post-training (fine-tuning, alignment, optimization)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with runtime optimizations and model quantization
• Multilingual and multimodal modeling experience
• Kernel development or on-device inference expertise
