You'll serve as the newsroom's second-in-command, helping lead news-reporting desks for a Pulitzer-winning nonprofit media organization. Your core impact will be operationalizing strategic vision and ensuring daily journalism aligns with long-term audience goals. This role offers a path to executive leadership and a chance to cement The Banner as Maryland's top news source.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Operationalize strategic vision for news coverage with enterprise reporting and breaking news
• Initiate and organize long-range planning on critical topics
• Mentor and coach staff, developing future leaders
• Represent The Banner at public events

📋 Requirements

• 15 years of experience managing and inspiring journalists, particularly editors
• Demonstrated track record of overseeing and editing investigative stories
• Modern understanding of digital journalism including metrics and audience engagement
• Willingness to relocate to Baltimore City or surrounding counties
