Description

You will support CISA clients in developing and refining technical guidance for securing edge devices in response to evolving PRC-related threats. You will translate strategic objectives into actionable technical steps aligned with BOD 26-02 and work directly with industry stakeholders to gather insights and validate feedback. Your ability to connect high-level strategy with real technical execution will be essential as you help inform and shape CISA’s edge device security guidance.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, endpoint security, or related technical domains, including hands-on work with edge devices
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with edge device implementation, configuration, maintenance, and incident response
  • Strong understanding of endpoint detection technologies and security telemetry
  • Ability to translate strategic guidance and threat intelligence into actionable technical plans
  • Experience interfacing with industry vendors or participating in technical workshops
  • Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Advise and support CISA clients in developing, reviewing, and analyzing technical guidance related to edge device security
  • Interface directly with industry vendors to capture insights, evaluate technical claims, and separate engineering perspective from sales posture
  • Translate CISA strategic objectives into actionable technical steps and support efforts related to BOD 26-02
  • Provide hands-on expertise in the implementation, maintenance, and incident response of edge devices
  • Apply endpoint detection knowledge to support clients’ security and monitoring objectives
  • Collaborate with government and industry stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with mission, business needs, and strategic priorities
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize industry feedback to inform CISA’s guidance, direction, and policy development
  • Leverage familiarity with PRC-related threat intelligence to help develop practical mitigation recommendations
