Description

You will establish safety protocols and perform risk assessments for cutting-edge manufacturing processes and aerospace hardware, contributing to SpaceX's mission of enabling multi-planetary life. You'll work closely with stakeholders to ensure safety compliance across complex industrial systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, materials, manufacturing, chemical, electrical engineering, or STEM field
• 1+ years in manufacturing, quality, or design engineering
• Knowledge of quality tools (lean, SPC, PFMEA, etc.)
• Proficiency with CAD tools (NX, Solidworks, Creo, Catia)
• Experience with process safety management and pressure systems

Responsibilities

• Establish safety tools and procedures for production process planning
• Perform risk assessments on industrial machinery and design safety systems (SIS, SIL)
• Serve as department Laser Safety Officer (LSO)
• Conduct PFMEAs to ensure safe manufacturing processes
• Analyze tooling and GSE for safety and load factors
