Description

As a software engineer on the Starshield team, you will develop highly reliable embedded software for satellites and ground systems, working across the full lifecycle from concept to on-orbit deployment. You'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and end customers to build cutting-edge capabilities for national security missions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or related field (or 2+ years professional software development experience)
• Development experience in C, C++, or Rust
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Create highly reliable software systems controlling thousands of satellites in low earth orbit
• Own software from prototyping through on-orbit rollout and maintenance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design next-generation satellite capabilities
• Work directly with end customers to deliver quality products and data
• Write and test high-quality C++ software for embedded processors and microcontrollers
