Description

You will own complex mechanical subsystems for drone products from concept through full rate production, collaborating across disciplines to optimize for speed, mass, cost, and manufacturability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of mechanical/design experience
• Demonstrated ownership of a product from concept through production
• CAD skills and ability to make high-quality engineering drawings
• Proficient in hands-on prototyping (machining, shop tools, welding, soldering)
• BS or MS in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Own complex mechanical subsystems from concept to production
• Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop and optimize designs
• Lead design reviews and obtain cross-disciplinary buy-in
• Build prototypes, define and execute hardware test plans
• Perform root cause investigations for hardware failures
