Description

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Catawiki, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for our curated marketplace, working in autonomous Agile teams to improve search, bidding, logistics, and more. This is a chance to tackle high-scale challenges (75k auctions weekly, 10M+ monthly visitors) and grow professionally through experimentation and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience with customer-facing products (e-commerce, fintech, SaaS)
• 4+ years in OOP software development
• Experience designing and deploying high-availability backend services
• Understanding of API design (RESTful)
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve microservices
• Collaborate with product designers, owners, and engineers to innovate and optimize processes
• Promote best development practices through documentation and code refactoring
