💼 About This Role

You'll develop and optimize data-intensive backend services for live sports events using Java and AWS. You'll work on high-throughput, low-latency systems powering the NFL and NHL. This role offers the chance to shape architectural decisions in a fast-paced, agile environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and optimize backend services using Java and internal framework components
• Contribute to architectural decisions for the data platform framework
• Work on data pipelines for sports like American football and ice hockey
• Deploy and scale applications in AWS (Lambda, S3, Apache Flink)

📋 Requirements

• Strong Java experience (Java 11 or later)
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with stream-processing (Flink, Spark, Kafka Streams)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (GitHub Actions, Terraform)
• Experience in line management
