💼 About This Role

You'll oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of high voltage substation equipment for wind and solar power plants across Texas and the central U.S. You'll be on-site during major outages to supervise contractors and ensure compliance with NERC standards. This role offers the opportunity to travel and work hands-on with cutting-edge renewable energy infrastructure.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for high voltage substations
• Create procedures for LOTO, HV switching, and safety grounding
• Instruct and train site personnel on substation equipment
• Supervise contractors during planned major maintenance outages

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 5+ years hands-on substation experience
• Working knowledge of MV and HV electrical equipment and substation systems
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Ability to query SEL protective relays for trip troubleshooting

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience programming and testing SEL and GE protection relays
• Class A or B commercial driver's license
