💼 About This Role

You'll join the AI Foundations team to develop end-to-end evaluation systems for Waymo's Foundation Models used in autonomous driving. You'll drive benchmarks for pre-training, SFT, and RL, ensuring quality and safety of embodied AI agents. This role offers the chance to impact production systems at a world-leading autonomous driving company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Work with creative team to build state-of-the-art Foundation Models for autonomous driving systems.
• Develop end-to-end evaluation systems and benchmarks for Foundation Models from pre-training to RL.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to land innovative tech in production.
• Implement and extend large-scale data and evaluation pipelines.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in ML engineering and applied Deep Learning.
• Experience with large scale distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python and C/C++.

✨ Nice to Have

• ML infra experience: training, evaluating and deploying ML models at scale.
• Deep learning with generative models (e.g., LLMs/VLMs) or reinforcement learning.
• Proficiency in an ML framework like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
