Description

You will review clinical information for accuracy in OASIS and ICD-10 coding using Medicare PDGM billing model and CMS guidelines, communicate edit recommendations to clinicians, perform final OASIS locks, and provide support to service offices to prevent Medicare denials and improve documentation quality.

Requirements

• Active RN, PT, OT, or SLP license and minimum 2 years clinical experience
• COS-C, HCS-O, or COQS OASIS certification
• BCHH-C or HCS-D Home Health Coding certification
• Competency in PC skills
• Experience with HCHB, SHP, and Coding Center preferred

Responsibilities

• Review clinical information for accuracy in OASIS and ICD-10 coding using PDGM and CMS guidelines
• Communicate OASIS edit recommendations to clinicians
• Perform final review and lock OASIS
• Prevent Medicare denials by ensuring proper coding and documentation
• Provide customer service and education on CMS guidelines and coding to service offices
