💼 About This Role

You'll serve as a legal go-to for product and engineering teams, advising on all legal aspects of Verkada's security platform from development to sale. You'll design compliance programs and distill complex regulations into actionable guidance that accelerates product delivery. This role offers the chance to build from the ground up in a fast-growing company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Advise product and engineering teams on legal issues across development lifecycle
• Design and implement compliance programs for hardware and software products
• Uplevel product launch process to ensure regulatory compliance
• Monitor emerging regulations and assess impact on product offerings

📋 Requirements

• J.D. degree and active bar membership in at least one state
• 6+ years of legal experience including product, regulatory, and transactional work
• Experience advising multinational companies on hardware and software products
• Expertise in federal procurement, alarm regulations, or connected device compliance

✨ Nice to Have

• At least 2 years of in-house experience
• Experience with NDAA/TAA/BAA compliance
• Knowledge of OFAC, ITAR, and AI export controls
