Description

You will work in a fast-paced outdoor yard environment testing and evaluating liquid-filled transformers using electrical test equipment and power tools. Your responsibilities include documenting results, operating forklifts and cranes, and organizing inventory. This role offers the chance to build a career in a positive, hands-on environment.

Requirements

• Experience with hand tools, welding, fabrication, mechanical skills preferred
• Comfortable with online documentation and web-based software systems
• Ability to follow written instructions and use a computer or tablet
• Meets basic physical requirements for heavy-equipment environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Operate electrical test equipment and power tools to test, evaluate, disassemble, troubleshoot, and quality control transformers
• Document test results, mechanical condition, dimensions, and accessories for each transformer
• Operate forklifts and cranes to organize inventory, load and unload transformers from flatbed trucks
• Work outdoors in a yard environment, on feet 90% of the time
• Communicate effectively in person, over phone, and via email
