💼 About This Role

You'll manage inventory transactions and month-end processes for Octopus Energy Services, ensuring accurate cost allocations. You'll reconcile stock counts and support financial reporting. This hybrid role offers exposure to supply chain finance in a fast-paced energy company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Process inventory transactions and post to general ledger
• Prepare monthly cost of goods sold and management accounts
• Reconcile physical stock counts with perpetual inventory records
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations with focus on inventory

📋 Requirements

• 1-2 years experience in cost accounting or similar role
• Part-qualified or studying towards professional accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or ICAS)
• Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas and data analysis
• Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with NetSuite financial software
• Experience in a business with physical inventory (retail, manufacturing, services)
• Proactive and self-motivated with attention to detail
