💼 About This Role

You'll lead security strategy across the Stellar ecosystem and own security outcomes for Foundation-developed systems and infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role is focused on raising the practical security baseline for decentralized financial participants. The right candidate will combine technical credibility, sound judgment, and strong execution to make security a durable strength.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and lead the Foundation’s security strategy across ecosystem and own systems
• Raise practical security baseline for wallets, infrastructure providers, custodians, and issuers
• Publish actionable guidance and reference patterns that drive adoption
• Lead secure development efforts across architecture, threat modeling, and incident response

📋 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in security leadership roles
• 5+ years leading security programs or functions with meaningful scope
• Deep experience in product and application security in production environments
• Strong familiarity with blockchain and decentralized system security

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with NIST SSDF or OWASP SCSVS
• Experience in financial infrastructure or tokenized finance
• Experience with large-scale platform or ecosystem security architecture
