Description

You will lead the Agentic Foundations team at 84.51°, designing and maintaining the enterprise agentic backbone including platforms, patterns, and tools. You'll guide teams, drive technical strategy, and ensure reliable, scalable AI agent systems for Kroger.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience with cloud-based software architecture (scalability, performance, reliability).
  • 7+ years experience with end-to-end SDLC using CI/CD and AIOps/MLOps.
  • 7+ years experience with large-scale AI/ML systems including 2+ years with GenAI and deep learning.
  • Professional experience with production-grade agentic systems (design, evals, deployment, monitoring).
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, OpenAI SDK, LangChain, autogen).
  • Experience with AIOps/MLOps (MLflow, Model Registry, Model Monitoring).
  • Experience scaling and deploying AI/ML on Azure and Google Cloud (CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, API development with FastAPI).
  • Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and Helm.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with Terraform.
  • Experience leading technical teams and consulting with customers.
  • Skilled in partnering with product management.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Management to lead the enterprise agentic space.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, guiding design and development.
  • Lead hiring efforts including interviews and guides.
  • Own and manage offshore reliability engineering teams.
  • Provide technical leadership for enterprise-grade agent solutions.
  • Ensure operational reliability, observability, and incident management.
  • Maintain expertise on agentic workflows and frameworks.
  • Foster collaborative team environment and professional growth.
  • Reduce development time using agentic SDLC tooling.
  • Abstract tooling to user-friendly interfaces (APIs, Python packages, UIs).
  • Understand business requirements and balance scale, risk, accuracy.
  • Guide teams to follow software development standards.
  • Make time-sensitive decisions and solve urgent problems.
