💼 About This Role

You'll join the Build Team to improve Bazel build systems for MongoDB's database engine. Your work directly impacts developer velocity and code quality across the stack. This role offers exposure to C++, Rust, Python, and Java in a mission-critical environment.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Update tooling to improve reliability, performance, and developer experience
• Provide internal support and address technical issues for build systems
• Contribute to in-progress software development projects
• Learn and apply core software development principles for shipping code at scale

📋 Requirements

• Relevant software development internship or summer research experience
• Experience using and tuning AI tools to accelerate development and improve code quality
• Interest in learning build systems such as Bazel and shipping complex software at scale

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with C++, Rust, Python, or Java
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks
