💼 About This Role

You'll own functional safety end-to-end for a humanoid platform, from hazard analysis through certification. You'll bridge the gap between existing industrial safety standards and the unique challenges of a bipedal dynamically balancing robot. This role offers the chance to architect novel safety solutions for a cutting-edge robotics product.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead hazard analysis, risk assessment, and SIL/PL determination
• Design safety architectures for mobile dynamically balancing robots
• Select and justify safety-rated components and drive certification
• Build test fixtures and procedures to validate safety claims

📋 Requirements

• 5–10 years of safety engineering experience on industrial robots or similar machinery
• Deep working knowledge of ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61508, and ISO 10218
• Hands-on experience taking a product through safety certification
• Proficiency in FMEA, FTA, HAZOP, STPA

✨ Nice to Have

• Software safety experience per IEC 61508-3
• Familiarity with ISO/TS 15066 for collaborative applications
• Experience with humanoid or mobile robot safety
