💼 About This Role

You'll be the primary technical interface for customer satellite missions at Loft, owning the full lifecycle from requirements through on-orbit operations. You'll translate mission objectives into executable workflows and tooling, ensuring reliable, scalable execution and directly operating real spacecraft. This role sits at the intersection of satellite ops, software engineering, and customer engagement.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Serve as primary technical interface for customer missions, aligning objectives and ensuring success
• Own full mission lifecycle from requirements through on-orbit execution and optimization
• Operate Loft spacecraft and payloads, driving mission execution and anomaly resolution
• Develop mission tooling and automation in Python to improve reliability and operational scale

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years in operational engineering (satellite ops, production infrastructure, or similar)
• Experience owning or contributing to mission-critical production systems
• Strong Python scripting and automation skills for operational systems
• Experience working with APIs and infrastructure like Docker or similar DevOps environments

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with satellite operations, spacecraft commissioning, or AIT
• Experience with spacecraft subsystems like guidance, power, or communications
• Experience with configuration languages such as CUE
