💼 About This Role

You'll take ownership of Material Handling Equipment safety and performance at South Africa's leading online retailer, driving compliance, training, and uptime across our Cape Town DC. Your focus on operator competency and equipment reliability directly impacts operational efficiency and product quality.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead daily pre-start checks and ensure MHE compliance with safety standards
• Train and assess new and existing MHE operators on safe efficient handling
• Coordinate with maintenance vendors on breakdowns, PM schedules, and repairs
• Analyze MHE-related KPIs to recommend process improvements
• Enforce PPE and safe operating procedures, stopping unsafe acts immediately

📋 Requirements

• Valid MHE license for forklift, reach truck, and other equipment
• 2+ years operating MHE in a DC/warehouse
• Grade 12 education
• Safety-first mindset with strong knowledge of DC operations and risk assessment

• 1+ year in a training/supervisory role
• Knowledge of WMS basics
