Description

As a Tooling Maintainer at SpaceX, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on custom tooling, inspect precision tools, and maintain advanced structures like friction stir welding machines. You will work from engineering drawings, develop jigs and fixtures, and use model-based metrology to ensure exacting tolerances.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 5+ years in precision mechanical construction or composite manufacturing and tooling
• Ability to interpret blueprints with GD&T
• Experience with model-based metrology tools
• Proficiency in Siemen's NX and Verisurf preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on custom tooling
• Inspect and assess precision tools per engineering requirements
• Maintain and repair advanced structures like friction stir welding machines and test stands
• Fabricate and assemble jigs, fixtures, and tooling with complex contours
• Use model-based metrology and design software
