Description

You will own the design, strategy, and standardization of Hut 8's enterprise network and fiber infrastructure across all data center environments. You will define architectures that connect facilities, enterprise systems, and carrier networks, evaluating existing environments and designing future-state topologies to support current operations and long-term growth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in network architecture, telecom infrastructure, or large-scale enterprise networking
• Deep experience designing fiber transport networks including dark fiber, leased waves, DWDM, MPLS, or EVPN architectures
• Strong understanding of physical fiber plant design, structured cabling standards, and meet-me room architecture
• Experience designing redundant metro and inter-data center fiber paths with path diversity and resilience
• Familiarity with carrier interconnection models, cross-connects, and telecom vendor management

Responsibilities

• Design and standardize enterprise network and fiber infrastructure architecture across all data center sites
• Define resilient network topologies for inter–data center connectivity, metro fiber, and enterprise transport networks
• Architect and standardize meet-me rooms, carrier demarcation strategies, and structured cabling frameworks
• Develop fiber path diversity strategies and eliminate single points of failure across telecom infrastructure
• Lead carrier and vendor technical evaluations, RFP processes, and contract reviews
