Description

As a software engineer on the CDN team at SpaceX, you will design, build, and scale a new Content Delivery Network for Starlink, creating robust distributed systems to shape traffic and optimize performance for billions of users worldwide.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or STEM (or 2+ years experience in lieu of degree)
• Software development experience in C, C++, or Rust
• Professional distributed systems experience
• Networking experience
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale a new Content Delivery Network (CDN) for Starlink
• Build robust, responsive, and scalable distributed systems
• Build tools and alerting to operate and maintain business-critical systems in real-time
• Design algorithms to optimize hardware utilization and cost efficiency
• Implement systems to shape traffic across multiple CDNs
