💼 About This Role

You'll join Cloudinary's Image team to develop and maintain core image transformation services that process billions of requests monthly. You'll optimize system performance and contribute to the deep learning platform. This role offers cross-stack work across Ruby, C++, Python, and cloud infrastructure.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain transformation services in Ruby on Rails
• Optimize system workload, time, and cost
• Develop custom transformations using research and open-source components
• Provide 2nd-tier support and participate in on-call rotations

📋 Requirements

• 8+ years backend engineering experience
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails
• Experience with image or video processing
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred)

• Data-driven mindset using monitoring tools
• Experience with C++ or Python
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Lambda
