Description

You will join the Workflow Policy team within Community Support Engineering to build software that powers Airbnb's global support operations, directly impacting agent experience and service quality. You will work cross-functionally to design, develop, and launch scalable backend and full-stack solutions, collaborating with ML and AI engineers to improve support systems.

Requirements

  • 6+ years industry experience
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in CS, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in one or more back-end server languages (Java/Kotlin/C++)
  • Experience building AI-driven features: classical supervised machine learning and Generative AI
  • Experience building and scaling high-quality and high-traffic products or systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team and across organizations
  • Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design product solutions
  • Mentorship to junior developers

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering counterparts to execute product and business strategy
  • Drive, lead, and contribute to full development cycle: technical design, development, test automation, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Review code and design docs, give feedback on product specs and mocks
  • Build efficient and reusable backend components with high quality, maintaining performance and scalable systems
  • Practice full-stack development including frontend web for agent-facing UI
  • Work closely with Machine Learning and Generative AI Engineers to improve Community Support systems
  • Provide critical input on team roadmap and technical direction
