Description

You will lead and perform X-Ray NDT inspections on components and assemblies for Rocket Lab's Neutron rocket program, ensuring integrity and reliability. Responsibilities include developing inspection techniques, interpreting results, providing technical guidance, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in mechanical assembly or NDT testing
• Certified as NDT Level III in X-Ray (per ASNT, NAS 410, or equivalent)
• Experience in aviation or aerospace performing NDT inspections
• Knowledge of NDT standards: AS, AMS, AWS, NAS, ASME, ASTM
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced X-Ray NDT inspections on components and assemblies to detect defects
• Develop and implement NDT inspection techniques for complex geometries and materials
• Interpret and evaluate X-Ray results to determine acceptability
• Provide technical guidance and training to NDT Level I and II technicians
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve NDT processes
