You'll lead a team of engineers, write code, and own the delivery of foundational infrastructure for SimplePractice's platform. You'll design **scalable data layer architecture** and ship **event-driven integrations** that empower application teams. This hybrid role combines hands-on engineering with people management in a high-growth health tech company.

Requirements

• Built or operated **distributed data systems** in production
• Designed or contributed to **event-driven architectures** with message brokers
• Led small, high-impact teams of **2-5 engineers**
• Think in **systems** and communicate clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design for scaling the data layer
• Ship end-to-end event-driven integrations
• Write code, review code, and debug production issues
• Establish documented golden paths for application teams
• Partner with application teams during early integrations
