Description

You will own the end-to-end hardware architecture for our humanoid robots, driving system-level design decisions and ensuring scalable, reliable integration of perception, compute, actuation, and safety systems. Partner with cross-functional teams to balance performance, manufacturability, and cost, while mentoring engineers and influencing the long-term product roadmap.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in robotics hardware development, 5+ years leading system architecture
  • Deep understanding of humanoid/legged system design and actuator/transmission tradeoffs
  • Proven experience delivering complex electromechanical robotic systems into deployment
  • Strong foundation in robot kinematics, dynamics, controls, and system modeling
  • Familiarity with functional safety concepts (FMEA/FMECA) and hazard analysis

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end robotics system hardware architecture for scalability and reliability
  • Lead trade studies and architecture reviews across disciplines
  • Partner with software, controls, and simulation teams for system-level modeling
  • Collaborate with systems engineering to translate architecture into testable requirements
  • Influence long-term roadmap from user needs and field performance
