Description

You will join the Compiler Team to transform user-driven spreadsheet interactions into optimized SQL queries, tackling core challenges in data modeling, query compilation, and large-scale interactive analytics. Your work will involve designing compiler infrastructure, applying optimization strategies, and contributing to backend (Rust) and frontend (TypeScript) systems to ensure speed, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience engineering high-quality software systems
• Proven success building complex infrastructure or core platform services
• Deep understanding of compilers, algorithms, and SQL optimization
• Passion for teamwork and technical ownership
• Experience in iterative, high-cadence development environments

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain compiler infrastructure for translating spreadsheet operations into optimized query plans
• Apply advanced optimization strategies to improve query performance across diverse workloads
• Contribute to backend (Rust) and frontend (TypeScript) components
• Debug and resolve complex issues to ensure robustness and maintainability
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on design reviews and technical decisions
