Description

You will design and execute platform-level software projects, build backend services and APIs, and create reusable frontend libraries and developer tooling to accelerate feature delivery across product teams at Abnormal AI. This role offers an opportunity to own impactful, platform-level work driving cross-functional influence.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Deep expertise in React and modern frontend architecture
• Strong backend proficiency in Python (Django) or TypeScript
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction
• Experience mentoring engineers
• Strong communication skills in distributed/async environments
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Design and execute platform-level software projects from conception through launch
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs that power our portal experiences
• Build reusable frontend libraries, design systems, and developer tooling
• Own infrastructure concerns, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and observability
• Drive frontend performance, accessibility, and quality standards
• Provide guidance and mentorship for junior members of the team
