Description

You will own the technical execution and long-term evolution of Ripple's global payments platform, including cross-border payout systems, FX and liquidity infrastructure, and collections capabilities. This role involves leading a growing engineering organization of approximately 75 engineers, driving architectural simplification, and integrating acquired platforms to transform multiple systems into a scalable, unified product platform. Success means delivering next-generation global payments with confidence while leveraging blockchain and stablecoins.

Requirements

• Deep experience building and operating large-scale payments systems (cross-border, FX, liquidity, settlement)
• Strong understanding of regulated real-time financial systems including reconciliation and operational risk
• Proven experience leading senior engineering organizations with production system ownership
• Excellent architectural judgment across distributed services and platform design
• Ability to simplify complex ecosystems and modernize platforms without disrupting customers

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payments engineering domain (cross-border flows, FX, liquidity, settlement)
• Lead and scale teams across core payments, collections, and integrated platforms
• Drive architectural clarity and simplification to reduce system sprawl
• Lead integration of acquired technologies into a cohesive, modern payments architecture
• Ensure high availability and operational excellence for real-time regulated payment systems
• Partner closely with Product to shape roadmap and platform capabilities
