💼 About This Role

You'll lead Hadrian's Materials and Process Laboratory, supporting additive manufacturing and aerospace/defense production. You'll own laboratory operations, accreditations, and automation roadmap. This role offers the chance to shape the future of American manufacturing at a rapidly scaling company.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead day-to-day operations of the M&P Laboratory across all functional areas.
• Drive ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap accreditation and maintain customer compliance.
• Own mechanical testing, metallography, chemical analysis, and sample preparation.
• Deploy laboratory automation in software (LIMS, QMS) and hardware (robotics).
• Manage capital planning, continuous improvement, and new product introduction.

📋 Requirements

• Master's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a materials/process lab supporting aerospace or defense.
• 3+ years of direct people leadership in a lab environment.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical testing, metallography, SEM/EDS, and chemical analysis.

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with Nadcap and ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or SPC methodologies.
