Description
You will bridge product design and mass production, developing and validating manufacturing processes for humanoid robots. You'll champion design for manufacturability, lead root-cause analysis, and manage the technical hand-off to production to ensure scalable, high-quality assembly.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years of process development/NPI in high-volume or complex hardware environments
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks or Nx) for fixture design
- Command of SPC, DOE, and Root Cause Analysis (8D or 5-Whys)
- Foundational knowledge of ERP and PLM workflows
Responsibilities
- Define and qualify manufacturing processes to meet yield and throughput targets
- Lead DFM/DFA reviews with R&D using PFMEA to mitigate technical risks
- Design, procure, and validate custom assembly fixtures and tooling
- Manage NPI transition: troubleshoot pilot runs, resolve material issues, qualify contract manufacturers
- Approve ECOs/MCOs in PLM workflow to ensure production readiness
