Description

As a Project Engineer at Clearway Energy Group, you will lead the technical design and coordination of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. You'll manage engineering deliverables, optimize designs, support construction, and negotiate contracts with EPC contractors and stakeholders.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering (M.S. or P.E. desired)
• Minimum 2+ years solar/BESS experience including 1+ year direct EPC experience
• Understanding of solar/storage design, optimization, and market knowledge
• Experience with solar/storage financing and independent engineer requirements
• Proven ability to manage consultants and contractors

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and serve as primary engineering point of contact for utility-scale solar and storage projects
• Manage resources for final site due diligence and cost/schedule/risk assessment
• Review engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with contractual and performance requirements
• Develop energy input assessments, optimize site layouts and equipment selection
• Review and negotiate technical aspects of EPC contracts and interconnect agreements
