Requirements

• Ph.D. in Genetics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field
• 5+ years of scientific research experience including 3+ years in leadership
• Hands-on experience in human population genetics and analysis of genotyping/sequencing data
• Strong background in genomic data pipelines, bioinformatics, and machine learning/statistical modeling
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with production-scale computational pipelines

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the scientific roadmap aligned with company goals
• Manage and mentor a team of senior scientists and data scientists
• Lead design, development, and optimization of production-ready algorithms for ancestry inference, relationship classifiers, imputation, and phasing
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to translate research into user-facing features
• Communicate scientific concepts and progress internally and externally
