💼 About This Role

You'll lead the design and optimisation of scalable algorithms for Gorilla's energy data platform. You'll bridge market expertise from Energy Experts with the engineering needed to power pricing, forecasting, and billing. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership across Product, Data, and Delivery teams.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and deliver scalable forecasting, pricing, and optimisation algorithms.
• Guide architectural decisions for high-volume data processing systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Delivery teams to translate requirements into performant solutions.
• Mentor peers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

📋 Requirements

• Proven experience designing and deploying algorithms or data models in production.
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern data stack (SQL, Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Dask, Polars, DuckDB, PySpark).
• Experience with large-scale or high-frequency data such as smart meter, weather, or IoT data.
• Clear communicator who influences design decisions and mentors others.
