Description

You will lead technical teams in designing and implementing data architectures on Azure, guiding junior members, and building client relationships while staying hands-on with data engineering. This role focuses on Azure data platforms and requires expertise in data modeling, pipelines, and cloud services.

Requirements

• Experience leading small to medium technical teams.
• Expertise in designing logical and physical data models for cloud/hybrid environments.
• Experience with multiple full life-cycle data warehouse implementations.
• Understanding of data architectures for data integration.
• Experience with data modeling tools (ER/Studio, ER/Win or similar).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Data Platform services: Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Storage, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL database, Logic Apps, APIs.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies.
• Data profiling and source to target mapping creation.
• Ability to provision and configure Azure data service resources.
• Python, SQL Scripting, SQL, PySpark.
• General Cloud Architecture competency: taking requirements and building data pipelines.
• API knowledge (preference for API creation).

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium sized technical teams including work allocation, technical escalation, and representation in Agile ceremonies and client meetings.
• Design and implement logical and physical data models for cloud and hybrid data warehouse environments.
• Implement data architectures supporting structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Manage full life-cycle data warehouse implementations.
• Perform data profiling and create source to target mappings.
• Provision and configure Azure data service resources.
• Build data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, etc.
