💼 About This Role

You'll build mission-critical Android applications for emergency responders, integrating with handheld radios and hardware in low-connectivity environments. You'll own the full development lifecycle and partner directly with field personnel to ensure flawless performance during life-saving operations.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement responsive Android UIs for situational awareness software
• Integrate handheld radios and USB devices via robust communication protocols
• Write safe FFI bindings between Kotlin/Java and native C/Rust libraries
• Write automated tests and embed them in CI/CD pipelines

📋 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development with production Android apps
• Deep Android expertise in Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose, and SDK architecture
• Strong C/C++ skills with JNI/NDK experience for native bridging
• Basic networking knowledge of IPv4, TCP/UDP, NAT, and multicast

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Rust or other systems languages
• Familiarity with public sector or emergency response software
• Experience with field testing and hardware integration
