Description

You will provide technical leadership for the operation of autonomous wave power generators (Nodes), ensuring safe and optimal fleet performance. You'll design fleet operations protocols, oversee fleet control software integration, manage node positioning for maximum energy production, and coordinate maintenance with engineering and marine ops teams.

Requirements

• Degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical engineering or related field
• 5+ years marine operations experience including planning for ocean conditions, water depth, geography and weather
• Extensive experience with complex mechanical and electrical systems in challenging environments
• History of integrating operational requirements into hardware and GUI design
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Own Node Fleet at-sea operations from deployment to decommissioning
• Provide input to fleet control software team for GUI design and standards
• Set geographic boundaries and design fleet movement strategies to maximize power production
• Design and run node operator qualification standard and training program
• Monitor node physical health and coordinate return to port for maintenance
